AMINE
TAZI
I build the board, the firmware on it, and the algorithm that drives it.
THE SHORT
VERSION
Second-year student. Already on a competition podium and shipping to a real client.
UNIVERSITY
OF OTTAWA
BASc Electrical Engineering. 9.8 out of 10, in second year.
THE
FOUNDATION
Circuits, digital systems, architecture, and the math under all of it.
HARDWARE
PCB design in Altium, STM32 and Arduino, sensors and servos on the bench.
SOFTWARE
C and C++ on microcontrollers, Python and MATLAB for the math.
DESIGN & SIM
SolidWorks and Onshape for parts, Quartus and Multisim before anything gets built.
12 STOPS,
ONE ROUTE
Visit every stop once and come home by the shortest path. The Traveling Salesman Problem, on a timer.
0
possible routes for 12 stops. Checking them all is not an option.
TABU
SEARCH
Keeps reversing segments of the route and remembers recent moves so it never circles back. Copper is the best route so far.
2ND PLACE
Near-optimal routes in under 5 seconds. Second overall at the competition.
A BIN THAT
SEES YOU
A waste system that opens by itself. Designed, built and assembled for a real client.
SOMETHING
AT 12 CM
The ultrasonic sensor reports distance; an Arduino Uno I programmed in C++ decides.
LID
OPENS
A servo swings the lid to 90°, holds it, then closes once the hand is gone.
MADE
TO FIT
The sensor mount and servo bracket are my CAD models, made to fit this bin.
ROUTING
THE CAR
STM32 PCB components in Altium Designer for uOttawa's high-efficiency vehicle team.
CAN
TRANSCEIVER
Building the footprint for the chip that lets the board talk to the rest of the car.
LIFEGUARD
A summer of watching the pool and testing its water. Where I learned to stay calm when something goes wrong.
LET'S BUILD
SOMETHING
Open to internships and design teams. English or French.
